“Voice of Many Waters”
Believe in Me so that rivers of living water will burst out from within you, flowing from your innermost being, just like the Scripture says!
John 7:38 (TPT)
And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunderings, saying, “Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns!
Revelation 19:6 (TPT)
For a long time, I wanted to know what the “voice of many waters” sounds like. Father God wants us to ask Him questions, and He loves to give us answers, even if we consider some to be difficult questions. He will give us the answers at the right time and recently Holy Spirit shone into my heart, revealing what the voice of many waters sounds like.
Think about the orchestra. There are many instruments, and each group of instruments has a distinct sound.
- Brass
- Woodwind
- Sting
- Percussion
Within each group of instruments, there are different instruments;
- Brass: trumpet, trombone, horn, tuba, etc.
- Woodwind: clarinet, oboe, flute, saxophone, etc
- string: violin, double bass, guitar, cello, harp, etc
- Percussion: drums, xylophone, tambourine, triangle, chimes
If the musicians in an orchestra came together to play and each musician played the music they wanted to play through their instrument and however they wanted to play it, it would be a horrific noise. On the other hand, when each musician plays from the written music assigned to each instrument and plays at the right time, there is harmony.
Each musical instrument has its own key, e.g.
- Most instruments are tuned to the key of C
- Clarinet and trumpet are tuned to Bb
- Tuba is tuned to F, Eb, C, of Bb
- Harp is tune to Cb
Each instrument is assigned a score sheet which has the rhythm and notes. The violin’s rhythm and melody is different to the trombone. The trumpet’s rhythm and melody is different to the harp. It will be harmonious when each instrument assigned to play in a particular piece of music plays what has been written for that instrument.
Just because the saxophone has not been commissioned to a particular orchestra does not make it any less valuable in its contribution to bringing music to the listener. The saxophone is best suited to a different style of music and a different group of musicians than the trombone.
It would be terrible for the cello to want to play the score sheet of the clarinet and it would be terrible for the tuba to try and play what the violin is supposed to play.
Although in the same orchestra, not all the violins play the same notes and rhythm, and not all the trumpets would play the same rhythm and notes. But, when all the musicians play according to what is written for their instrument, there is a beautiful sound produced in the ears of the listener who can connect and make sense of what is being heard.
It is the same with each of us in the Kingdom of God. Each one of us is unique. Every one of us has a unique tone and voice key. It is important that we are led by our Master Musician (Jesus), who trains us and leads us by His Spirit to play only what is written on our scoresheet.
You saw who You created me to be before I became me!
Before I’d ever seen the light of day, the number of days You planned for me were already recorded in Your book.
Psalm 139:16 (TPT)
Just because we find that we do not fit into one ministry group (orchestra) does not make us any less valuable. The instrument in the wrong orchestra will cause disharmony.
When we allow the Master Conductor (Jesus, through His Holy Spirit) to lead us, we will be in the timing of God and with one another in the progression of the “movement.”
How truly wonderful and delightful it is to see brothers and sisters living together in sweet unity!
It’s as precious as the sacred scented oil flowing from the head of the high priest Aaron, dripping down upon his beard and running all the way down to the hem of his priestly robes.
This harmony can be compared to the dew dripping from mount Hermon, which flows down upon the hills of Zion
Indeed, that is where Yahweh has decreed his blessings will be found, the promise of life forevermore!
Psalm 133 (TPT)
Jesus spoke to the crowd;
Then on the most important day of the feast, the last day, Jesus stood and shouted out to the crowds – “All you thirsty ones, come to me! Come to me and drink! Believe in me so that rivers of living water will burst out from within you, flowing from your innermost being, just like the Scripture says!”
John 7:37-38 (TPT)
As we come to Jesus and drink, receiving revelation and understanding, we become an instrument created by Him (He is in us and we in Him – John 17).
Look at how much encouragement you’ve found in your relationship with the Anointed One! You are filled to overflowing with his comforting love. You have experienced a deepening friendship with the Holy Spirit and have felt his tender affection and mercy.
So I’m asking you, my friends, that you be joined together in perfect unity – with one heart, one passion, and united in one love. Walk together with one harmonious purpose and you will fill my heart with unbounded joy.
Philippians 2:1-2 (TPT)
I shared this with someone, and they responded with a question, “Did you have a sense of anything from this?”
My initial thought was, “Wow! How do you fit an ocean into a bucket?” In seeking the Lord to respond, Jesus highlighted the parable that He gave of the four soils (Matthew 13:3-8, 18-23; Mark 4:3-8, 14-20; and Luke 8:5-8, 11-15). After Jesus told this parable, His disciples asked Him to explain what He had said. (Mark 4:10; Luke 8:9)
Gosh, I could relate to how Jesus must have felt. For Jesus to explain the depths and significance in all its dimensions would be the equivalent of trying to get an ocean into a bucket. But Jesus explained what the various elements meant;
- Seed = Word of God
- Different soils = condition of men’s hearts
- birds = satan
Understanding the symbolism of each element and with God’s illumination light, the Holy Spirit illuminates the understanding appropriate and personalised to each individual’s spiritual maturity, knowledge and experience.
The symbolisation of the various elements in the orchestra are;
- The Composer = God Almighty
- The Conductor = Jesus and Holy Spirit
- Musicians = people
- Music Score = our Heavenly book.
- Musical Instruments = Our Voice.
God wrote a book about each person before He breathed us into existence. Before you were born He had already written a book about you. For every person who ever lived, is living and will live on this Earth, He wrote our destiny, all the people we are to meet, and all the works we are to do. As a believer, with our lives surrendered to Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, our judgment unto reward will be according to what is written in our Heavenly Book.
He has given us a voice which is an instrument to express revelations, testimonies, Psalms, hymns; all that Jesus has put inside each of us (musician) to bless others with encouragement, and building one another up.
Every year I ask the Lord for one word for the year, then while studying His Word and hearing what the Lord is saying through others, everything is filtered through the lens of that word. For this year, the word the Lord gave me is “Fellowship.”
So we proclaim to you what we have seen and heard about this life-Giver so that we may share and enjoy this life together. For truly our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus, the Anointed One. We are writing these things to you because we want to release to you our fullness of joy
This life-giving message we heard him share and it’s still ringing in our ears. We now repeat his words to you: God is pure light. You will never find even a trace of darkness in him.
If we claim that we share life with him, but keep walking in the realm of darkness, we’re fooling ourselves and not living in the truth. But if we keep living in the pure light that surrounds him, we share unbroken fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, continually cleanses us from all sin.
1 John 1:1-7 (TPT)
Then, with the understanding about the Tola (see “The Great Sacrifice”), we are to feed off Jesus Christ, just as the young feed off the Tola who sacrificed herself for her children. Jesus is the Tola, and He is the Bread from Heaven. Then as each of us feeds from Him, being nourished with the Manna and the Living Water, we receive knowledge, wisdom, and understanding of Heavenly realities, and this is what it is to bring the Kingdom to this Earth.
As we come together as a group of believers, speaking from the flow of the Holy Spirit from revelation and understanding, these are the rivers of Living Water flowing out from each individual, and what is heard will be “The voice of many waters”. Each person yielded to the Holy Spirit (Conductor), speaking and sharing (rhythm and notes from the scoresheet) will play the symphony from the Master Composer, God Almighty.
You may have come to believe lies about yourself. You need to know that you are valuable, that your life does matter, and that everything you do in Jesus’ Name does count and does make a difference. The things that Jesus gives you to say are important, and Jesus’ body (believers) needs you to be who He created you to be and to share with others what He puts in your heart to share with others.
There is a deep sense of grief as I see in my spirit many musicians sitting in their seats in the orchestra, but their instruments are on the floor next to them, waiting for opportunities to play, because of what their fellow musicians have said to them.
There are instruments that have not been picked up in many years and a lot of these instruments have rusted. These musicians have lost the desire to “sing” because they feel that what they play is wrong, unimportant, and not worth much. To achieve the perfect sound that the composer intended for a piece of music requires every musician in the orchestra to play their instrument.
This is the voice of many waters.
We have become His poetry, a re-created people that will fulfil the destiny He has given each of us, for we are joined to Jesus, the Anointed One. Even before we were born, God planned in advance our destiny and the good works we would do to fulfil it!
Ephesians 2:10 (TPT)
